Compensation Disclosure Policy

Effective January 1, 2026, the Alberta Insurance Council (AIC) is authorized to approve individual Continuing Education courses and course providers to deliver Continuing Education to license holders. All course accreditation applications must be submitted for approval to the AIC for single course accreditation or to become a self-accredited course provider. Accreditation Committee – Compensation Disclosure

Public sector bodies are required to post online the names and compensation paid to:

all committee members, regardless of amount; and
employees who earn over $159,833 (for 2024).

This is a requirement under the Public Sector Compensation Transparency Act, which applies to:

agencies, boards and commissions governed by the Alberta Public Agencies Governance Act;
Independent offices of the Legislature;
employees of Covenant Health; and
other entities identified in the regulations.

The posting is required by June 30 each year.
